I started cosplaying during the summer of 2001, and it was a hobby that brought me so many wonderful friends and memories. Here are a few of the costumes I've done.

| Cybersix is a Canadian cartoon with Japanese producers. The character is a genetically engineered superhero who lives as a man during the day in order to protect her identity. This was the first costume I made all by myself. :) All photos by Laura. | |||

| Rubeus is a villain from the second season of the anime Sailor Moon. This was a really easy costume, and I didn't have to make many of the pieces, but I had so much fun strutting around in it. My butt was grabbed so many times in this costume I lost count! All pictures by Laura. | |||

| Chichiri is a character from the anime Fushigi Yuugi. He's a quirky priest who's blind in one eye and scarred, and usually wears a mask. I wore this costume with a group of friends. | In Japan there used to be a live musical based on the Sailor Moon anime and manga. I was a member of a cosplay group called "Yume no Senshi" ("Dream Soldiers") that put on little shows based on the original musicals. I played Sailor Pluto in the group. Photos by a variety of sources. | |||

| The Japanese all-female Takarazuka Revue is probably most famous for its performances of "The Rose of Versailles", based on a manga from the 70's. Lady Oscar is my favorite character. The Marie Antoinette costume I made for Laura is probably the best work I've ever done; it took me more than a year to get this costume set together.
